California’s winegrape industry is at a critical moment. Rising costs, regulatory pressures, global competition, and environmental challenges continue to shape the future of our vineyards. Now more than ever, grower engagement in the policymaking process is essential. CAWG’s Advocacy Day 2026 provides growers and industry leaders with the opportunity to bring their perspectives directly to legislators, legislative staff, and regulatory agency officials.
On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, CAWG invites you to join fellow growers and industry partners in Sacramento for a focused day of grassroots advocacy and relationship-building.
Advocacy Day is designed to be informative, strategic, and impactful. Participants will begin with breakfast and policy briefings, followed by presentations from key elected officials and leaders from the Newsom Administration. After lunch, attendees will visit legislative offices to discuss priority issues affecting California’s winegrape industry. The program will conclude with a legislative reception, offering additional opportunities to build relationships with policymakers.
While CAWG advocates on behalf of growers year-round, personal engagement remains one of the most powerful ways to influence policy. Hearing directly from those who work in the vineyards strengthens CAWG’s advocacy efforts and ensures that real-world experience informs decision-making.
Your participation makes a difference. Join CAWG Advocacy Day 2026 and help advance a strong, sustainable future for California winegrowing.
