CS Fundamentals - Orange County
Kick-start your community schools planning and implementation!
November 17 - 18, 2022  ·  Orange County Department of Education - Conference Center

The CA Community Schools Learning Exchange (CSLX) and the National Center for Community Schools, in partnership with the Orange County Department of Education, are proud to announce that the Community Schools Fundamentals Workshop is coming to Orange County from November 17-18, 2022!

The CS Fundamentals Workshop is specifically designed for teams – especially those that have received planning or implementation grants, or are interested in applying for state and/or federal community schools funding. The workshops will serve primarily as a space for district, school, COE, and community partner teams to level set, identify collaboration opportunities, and build upon new and existing strategies for student success.

These sessions are designed to help you and your teams:

  • Use common language about what community schools are all about and what it takes for sustainable success;
  • Identify your community school muscles: local strengths, gaps, and opportunities;
  • Get tools and guidance on how to think about getting started, including leadership and engagement, creating a powerful team, community school coordinator(s), and forging strategic partnerships;
  • Build a shared understanding of how the CCSPP funds can strengthen your existing school/district/county priorities.
